2nd Annual Big Red Summer Gathering, Chatham

The Cornell Club of Cape Cod hosted a gathering for Cape Club members, Cape alumni and vacationing Alumni to meet new students. This is an annual event and was attended by many visiting alumni.

International Zinck's Night

Join Cornellians everywhere to commemorate Theodore Zinck's famous Ithaca watering hole, long gone but not forgotten. Gather at Spanky's, 138 Ocean Street in Hyannis overlooking the harbor. Club member Jeff Spilman Hotel '81 is an owner. Festivities will begin about 6:00 pm.

Holiday Dinner at Chatham Wayside Inn

We will gather this year at the Chatham Wayside Inn, 512 Main Street, Chatham. The long time landmark will be aglow with the holiday season as we gather for our annual holiday party and will be entertained by the renowned Master Singers of Cape Cod directed by Fred Driftmeyer.

Many who call Cape Cod home can't afford to live here. As a very timely subject, members of the Housing Assistance Corporation will explain how they endeavor to meet the demans of shelters, foreclosures, leased housing for homelessness prevention, and energy assistance.

Book Signing Luncheon at Hearth and Kettle

At the Hearth & Kettle, 1196 Route 28, South Yarmouth, club member John Nostrand '57 and Nantucket Artist James Cromartie will trade barbs and tell us about the trials and tribulations of publishing their new book, "Nantucket Portrait". They will reveal for the first time to our club members exclusively, the sections of the book that the publisher, REFUSED TO PRINT!

Annual Meeting at the Brookside Club

In response to many requests, we will return to this lovely venue for our annual meeting at One Brigadoon Road (Route 28) Bourne. The date will be announced when the Alumni Affairs Office completes arrangements for the Cornell faculty speaker and schedule.

Fifth Annual All-Ivy Clambake

Plans are already underway for this annual event at Grey's Beach, Yarmouthport. Now a Cape Ivy League tradition, Ivy Alumni for the area will congregate at the end of Centre Street at the Grey's Beach Pavilion, Yarmouthport, to party and devour regional delicacies.

Picnic with the Pops, Orleans

Lower Cape Alumni will gather for a picnic together on the lawn at the Cape Cod Symphony Pops Concert in Orleans. This may become a new club tradition to signal the end-of-summer on the Cape.
